Future Science World

Science World has conducted a visioning and strategic planning exercise to imagine a future state for the organization and it’s site. Inhabiting an iconic Vancouver landmark, Science World is reimagining what it means to be housed in a 470-metre high geodesic dome at the heart of the city. The exercise included considerations for expanding the organization’s role in the public realm along False Creek that also considered new public art and urban design interventions.
My role in this project was supporting visioning and ideation activities including internal workshops and external surveys. This included a design charrette, an industry discovery event, and two surveys collecting and analyzing over 300 responses. I also led planning policy, heritage research, and a site and spatial analysis to inform strategic design conversations.
